Mitrefinch raise money for charity while messing about on the river.

Rumours that the Mighty Fish were the heaviset team on the river remain unproven!

The 'Mighty Fish' entered the annual Rotary Club Dragon Boat Races for the first time this year, and raised a whopping £1,400 for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Riding for The Disabled.

Despite our novice status and being a couple of oarsmen short, the team managed a very respectable best time of 1 minute 4 seconds in the third heat. Unfortunately this wasn't enough to take us into the 8 boat thriller to decide the overall winner.

There was a great carnival atmosphere in the sunshine on the riverside, and plenty of friends, family and colleagues were on hand to offer their support. After such a fantastic day the team are already looking forward to next year!
