DCI Artform - Case Study
Founded in 1968, Artform International Ltd specialises in the design and manufacture of quality, three-dimensional point-of-sale shop equipment that supports advertising campaigns in retail outlets.
The company covers a wide range of disciplines including creative design, 3D computer renderings, graphic design, development and prototyping.
Based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, the company switched over to Mitrefinch’s TMS system after years of using manual clock cards to manage its staff which are paid on a weekly basis.
Jason Cadman, IT Manager at Artform International Ltd, comments: ”With TMS in place the centrally administered database is much easier to manage than with our previous manual system. It is also much more efficient and has significantly reduced company time spent on administrative tasks.”
At Artform the system runs continuously on the Payroll Supervisor’s PC. Each department can access the system via the company’s network at any time of the day or night as required from within their own areas. Larger departments check off anomalies on a daily basis whilst smaller departments tend to review this once a week.
Jason adds: “As well as running our weekly anomaly reports, we frequently configure new reports on an ad hoc basis and find them extremely useful for troubleshooting.”
The company inputs holiday details as necessary and runs the tidy database utility once a week.
Jason concludes: “The system is flexible and has grown with the company with the easy installation of additional swipe terminals throughout our expanding premises.”
Artform also has plans to link TMS to its own ERP system to import the number of hours worked by its weekly paid staff.
