In early 2002, Damartex made the decision to replace its traditional clock card system with a computerised time and attendance solution. Following a review of the products available Damartex selected Mitrefinch’s TMS.
Damartex’s TMS System Administrator Brian Timms explains: “We selected Mitrefinch’s TMS package due to its ease of use and wealth of features. We invited Mitrefinch to provide a demonstration of the system and it became clear that it could do everything we needed and more!”
The TMS system covers Damartex’s 530 employees based at the Company’s three
The installation was gradual with the largest site, Bingley going live first. Brian says: “As well as being the biggest site, Bingley also runs more complex shift patterns. We were confident that with TMS running smoothly in Bingley the other sites would take to the system with ease.”
With a wealth of management information at its fingertips, Damartex runs a variety of the reports available through the TMS system. This information is proving extremely useful for Damartex.
Brian says: “The system’s ability to generate reports easily has allowed us to make considerable time savings, freeing up our time to focus on more important personnel tasks. TMS also provides accurate data for our payroll system to help with the calculation of wages.”
Through TMS, Damartex can efficiently monitor, plan, forecast and budget for its personnel resources with greater control, taking into account absentees, cost per employee and employee specific skill sets.
Brian concludes: “Mitrefinch’s TMS has allowed us to greatly improve our human resources activities benefiting both the Company and our employees.”
Damartex has extended the TMS system to include Mitrefinch’s Access Control system which allows the Company to secure its employees and premises more effectively, while the Auto-ID facility enables Damartex to design and produce its own identity cards.
