A-Belco Limited enjoy increased sophistication and integration with Mitrefinch.
Back in December 2008, engineering experts A-Belco Limited decided to replace their simplistic time and attendance system with a more sophisticated solution, which could better meet their requirements to keep track of production orders and employees’ work.
A-Belco Limited had decided to use Microsoft Navision to monitor production orders, but that application didn’t have a time and attendance element. So a consultant was asked to recommend a good T&A supplier and Mitrefinch’s name came up. According to A-Belco’s IT Manager, Eric Slater, the Mitrefinch account manager, Tony Stevens, gave a ‘very good’ demonstration and highlighted how the Mitrefinch system would bring down costs across the board.
A-Belco wanted a reliable Time & Attendance System that would confirm any exceptions for overtime or for lost time against expected hours. The business is all on one site, but employees work on 6 different shifts, including some who are part-time and some who have a late start. For this reason, the required application had to be able to deal with varied shift patterns. Another key requirement was for the system to be able to integrate with Microsoft Navision. The Mitrefinch Implementer set up a link to import the Production Order numbers from Microsoft Navision into TMS for employees to be able to clock in and out at the terminal against an order number. The Mitrefinch Time Allocation System TAS will then export data overnight into Navision and the next morning the data just has to be authorised to go into the Navision Journal to show how much time has been spent on the different orders.
Formerly, managers had to write out the employees’ holidays on wall charts which was time-consuming and laborious. Now, they use the Absence Profile within TMS, which is visually much better.
Throughout the installation, A-Belco appreciated the ‘excellent’ training supplied by Mitrefinch implementer, Pete Brownless and the excellent, easy-to-refer-to documentation received. Overall, A-Belco is very happy with the system and has found it very easy to use.
The Mitrefinch Time Management System has enabled A-Belco Limited to enjoy greater integration and sophistication in the handling of their production orders.
